Chairman of the Board of Members Mr. Duong Quang Thanh delivered his keynote address at the Conference
The Conference was held on March 3rd, 2017.
In the keynote address at the Conference, the Chairman of Board of Members of EVN Mr. Duong Quang Thanh said that, the business and customer service activities of EVN had been considerably improved; impressive outcomes had been gained in terms of electricity supply reliability such as SAIDI declining by 28.03%, SAIFI declining by 21.25% against the year 2015, etc.
EVN’s President and CEO Mr. Dang Hoang An requested Power Corporations to keep enhancing their electricity supply reliability
One of the important challenges that need to be addressed in the coming time, said EVN’s Chairman, is that the access-to-electricity indicator of Vietnam, though stepping forward 5 levels against the year 2015, is still standing 96th position out of 190 economies and 7th among ASEAN countries. It should be noticed that the distance between Vietnam and the country ranking 6th in the ASEAN countries is very large (45 levels). A lot of challenges and difficulties therefore will be confronted and tackled by EVN in the future.
At the conference, EVN’s President and CEO stressed: “We should keep on shifting our mind and approach to act as a business corporation which determines that business and customer service activities must be given the highest priority. The Power Corporations should continue enhancing their electricity supply reliability and diminishing their interruption durations. In case of planned outages for repairs and maintenances, advance notifications should be given to customers; interruption schedules should be precise and on time as per notifications given to customers; solutions for access-to-electricity duration diminishing should be drastically executed; customer satisfaction should be improved”.
“The road forward is full of challenges and difficulties. The Power Corporations should be deterministic in satisfactorily performing their business and customer service tasks in 2017 as well as the subsequent years”, added the leader of EVN.
With this year’s theme “Promotion of science and technology”, EVN shall focus its investments in scientific and technological applications for business and customer services, such as: Until the fourth quarter of 2017, 100% of power services will be provided online, 100% of electronic devices (tablets, mobile phones, etc.) and software will be applied for new services, power meter reading, measuring inspections, failure remedy; bill payments will be made online via customer care websites of power corporations, etc.
Major business indicators in 2017:
- Power sales: 177.59 billion kWh, increasing by 11.4% against 2016
- Power loss rate: 7.6%;
- SAIDI: 1,183 minutes; SAIFI: 10.7 times; MAIFI: 2.4 times
- Access-to-electricity duration (proceeding time of power companies): less than 7 days
- Customer satisfaction target: from 7.85 points and above as for EVNNPC, EVNSPC, EVNCPC and EVNHANOI; from 8.25 points and above as for EVNHCMC.
- Improving 14 quantifiable indicators on customer services against the year 2016
- Increasing the labor productivity in business and production by 8-10% against the year 2016
