EVNHCMC donated VND1 billion to the fund for COVID-19 prevention and control

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, on 22 June 2021, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation, (EVNHCMC) has contributed VND 1 billion to the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Fund.

Mr. Le Van Minh - Chairman of EVNHCMC's Trade Union said that funding support for the COVID-19 prevention and control is both the kind-heartedness and the obligation expressed by each employee throughout the corporation. From 2020 to now, the corporation has donated VND 3.6 billion for Covid-19 prevention and vaccine purchase.

In addition, EVNHCMC also contributed VND 20 billion with Vietnam Electricity (a donation of VND 400 billion to the Vietnam’s National Covid-19 Vaccine Fund) and is implementing the 3rd phase of electricity charge reduction with an estimated total amount about VND 105 billion.

Currently, in the complicated context of the COVID-19 pandemic, EVNHCMC is making efforts to maintain production and business activities, ensure stable power supply and customer services.

At the same time, EVNHCMC has implemented a plan to prioritize power supply for hundreds of hospitals, medical facilities and vaccination points, and to make contributions to Ho Chi Minh City's effective combat against the pandemic.
