Many targets were met and surpassed
Commercial power output in 2023 will reach 28.56 billion kWh, an increase of 5.15% compared to that of 2022 and surpassing the plan assigned by EVN. The economic and technical indicators of the power grid continue to improve significantly compared to that in 2022 and finish the work ahead of the plan for the 2021-2025 period. Some specific results include: The implemented power loss rate reached 2.98%, which is 0.24% lower than the plan assigned by EVN. The Electric System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) is about 15.2 minutes, much better than the plan (55 minutes); The average number of System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) decreased to 0.18 times. Besides, labor productivity in 2023 reached 5.22 million kWh/worker, reaching 105.03% of the plan.

In 2023, EVNHCMC has achieved many impressive results in smart grid development. The Corporation is the first Vietnamese electricity industry enterprise to win the "Smart Grid Project of the Year" award at the ENLIT ASIA 2023 international conference and received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Information and Communications.

Regarding construction investment, EVNHCMC has commenced 9/9 projects, energizing 7/7 projects to ensure quality, progress, and plan as assigned by EVN. Thereby, contributing to improving power supply reliability, increasing power sources for the central area of the City, and providing backup to meet the demand for load growth in the dry season in the 2024-2025 period.
Training and innovation emulation movements continue to develop strongly. During the year, EVNHCMC had 23 more engineers recognized as ASEAN Engineers, bringing the total number of ASEAN engineers of EVNHCMC to 234 people, accounting for 36.6% of the total of ASEAN engineers nationwide. During the year, the Corporation had 9 EVN-level initiatives and 102 Corporation-level initiatives recognized, worth billions of Vietnam Dong.

In 2023, the Corporation will also promote electricity-saving communication and mobilize large electricity users to participate in the non-commercial electricity load adjustment program. The saved electricity output in the year reached 634.36 million kWh, equivalent to 2.2% of commercial electricity and an increase of 14.3% compared to 2022’s.
