The project commenced on March 16, 2020 with a total investment cost of over VND 6.6 billion, including the installation of the 3rd transformer of 110kV voltage with a capacity of 63MVA.

Although the project was constructed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially during the social distancing time, EVNHCMC's member units have endeavored to overcome all difficulties to complete the project on schedule.
The project, after being put into operation, will contribute to ensuring electricity supply for the strongly developing areas of Binh Tan and Binh Chanh districts; At the same time, it will contribute to reducing power loss, improving power quality, facilitating the flexible management and operation of power sources, enhancing electricity supply reliability, and meeting local socio - economic development requirements in the areas where have large and important loads, high demands for stability and quality of power, etc.
