Total length of 220-500kV power lines increased by 2.45 times
National power transmission system has reached all provinces/cities nationwide and connected with countries in the region.
Up to now, after 15 years of establishment, the national power transmission system has been built and developed at a rapid rate: the total length of the 220kV and 500kV power lines increased 2.45 times; the number of substations increased 2.7 times. The national power transmission grid has reached all provinces and cities across the country, connecting with countries in the region, such as China, Laos, and Cambodia.
The 500kV power transmission system develops rapidly and really acts as a lifeline energy system, creating strong linkages between areas in the power system, contributing to flexible and reliable operation, and reducing the operating costs of the entire power system.
Outstanding achievements
In construction investment activities, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, EVNNPT's leaders and staff have made great efforts to achieve remarkable achievements. The investment and development of the national power transmission system over the past 15 years have reached a total investment value of VND 230,000 billion.
EVNNPT has put into operation 662 power transmission grid projects, including many key projects to release the capacity of power plants (such as Son La Hydropower, Lai Chau Hydropower, Power Centers of Duyen Hai, Vinh Tan, Quang Ninh, Vung Ang, Van Phong, etc.); 500kV power transmission lines to improve North-South transmission capacity and loop circuits to enhance the stability and reliability of power supply for major cities and key economic regions, etc.
EVNNPT constantly applies new technologies to manage and operate power grid
After 15 years of operation, EVNNPT has transmitted a total electricity output of 2,180 billion kWh, with an average growth rate of 7.74%/year, thereby making an important contribution to EVN in ensuring power supply for the socio-economic development of the country and the daily life of the people.
EVNNPT has also gradually modernized the national power transmission system. The Corporation has converted 117 out of 148 220kV substations to remote operation, reaching the rate of 79%; 100% of equipment data on the power transmission grid has been digitized on PMIS technical management software; 100% of meter data has been connected to the MDMS metering data collection and management system.
The Corporation has been very focused on implementing solutions to improve production and business efficiency and increase labor productivity. Every year, the Corporation successfully completes the targets of improving production and business efficiency, and labor productivity according to the roadmap assigned by Vietnam Electricity.
With those outstanding achievements, EVNNPT was honored to be awarded by the Government the Second-class Labor Order (2014), the Third-class Labor Order (2013), the Government's Emulation Flag (2021), and many Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises, Vietnam Electricity, etc.
