Letter of thanks by SAMSUNG Display Vietnam Co., Ltd to EVNNPT
In recent years, foreign investment in Vietnam has been rapidly increasing, there have been many large-scale industrial zones with increasingly demand for power supply in aspect of output and quality.
In the north, Bac Ninh province is locality with dozens of industrial zones that have attracted the largest foreign investment, such as the complex of Samsung Vietnam including two Companies which are Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) Co., Ltd and Samsung Display Vietnam (SDV) Co., Ltd. The plants of the two companies are located in Industrial Zone of Yen Phong - Bac Ninh with a high capacity of power consumption and very high requirements on power quality.
In order to meet the high demand on power of industrial zones in Bac Ninh province in general and Yen Phong industrial zone in particular, EVNNPT put into operation two 220kV transformers with a total capacity of 500MVA so as to increase load capacity.
On 12 February, 2018 220kV/250MVA transformer at 220kV Bac Ninh 3 substation was energized for operation more than a month ahead of the schedule; on 21 March, 2018 220kV/250MVA transformer at 500kV Dong Anh substation was energized for operation to ensure the required schedule.
In 2017, EVNNPT energized and put important transmission lines and transformer stations into operation, supplying power to Bac Ninh province and Hanoi capital, including: the 500kV/220kV Hiep Hoa - Dong Anh - Bac Ninh 2 line; the 500kV Dong Anh substation; the 220kV Dong Anh substation; the 220kV Bac Ninh 3 substation; Installation of the 2nd transformer of 500kV Pho Noi substation.
Being emotionally touched by the enthusiasm and efforts of EVNNPT to power generation and put 2 power transmission works into operation, meeting the requirements of Samsung investor in Bac Ninh in early months of 2018, the General Director of Samsung Display Vietnam - Kweon Yuong Chan sent a letter of thanks to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Electricity, National Power Transmission Corporation, Power Transmission Company 1 and Project Management Unit of power works in the north.
We are very appreciated to your valued unit’s enthusiasm and efforts to install more transformers, increase the capacity of Bac Ninh substations. During the construction period, all valued units, stakeholders, and operation units always put the highest concentration on the prevention of all impact even the smallest one to power system. SDV is very thankful for this.
