EVNNPT: Transmission Power in the first 6 months reached 76 billion kWh

According to the statistics of National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), in the first 6 months of 2016, North - South 500 kV transmission line continued to operate at full-load to transmit power from the North and Central to the South. With efforts in the management of operation, the Corporation has guaranteed safe transmission over the power system.

Accordingly, the transmission power output in the first 6 months of the year reached 75.946 billion kWh, went up by 12.6% compared to the same period in 2015 and achieved 48.7% of 2016 plan. The power loss estimated in the first 6 months of 2016 of the Corporation was 2.39%.

For the first 6 months of 2016, EVNNPT estimated to invest 6,288.30 billion VND on construction. In which, there were 5 projects being commenced and 25 projects being energized.

In the first 6 months, EVNNPT has completed a number of important projects including the 500 kV substations of Pho Noi, Pleiku 2; upgrading the capacity of Son La 500 kV; Substations of 500kV: Duyen Hai - My Tho, Vinh Tan 4 connection line; 220 kV substations: Than Uyen, Son Tay; the 220kV substations: Xekaman 1 - Pleiku 2, Vung Ang - Ba Don - Dong Hoi,  Trung Son Hydropower Plant connection line, meeting the required schedule.

In the last 6 months of the year, EVNNPT will strengthen the management and operation of the transmission line, to ensure stable and safe power supply; strengthen operational discipline, quality control of the transmission grid to overcome outages. Regarding the investment - construction: EVNNPT shall make endeavor to ensure its target of commencing 47 projects and energizing 39 projects.
