The overhaul of the S1 power unit – a capacity of 300MW took place from 15 October 2021, with hundreds of work items, the total number of personnel involved was 300 engineers and workers. This is the first major repair cycle for the S1 power unit of Thai Binh TPP (after 4 years of operation) and the first time that EVNPSC has performed an overhaul of a coal-fired power unit.
EVNPSC engineers coordinate with Thai Binh TPP operational staff to energize the S1 unit - Thai Binh TPP after overhauling
The main items of the S1 power unit of Thai Binh TPP overhauled by EVNPSC include turbine, generator and auxiliary equipment of the unit, a part of boiler system, etc. During the overhauling process, the quality control work is strictly implemented. The work items are carried out step by step according to the sequence of technical plans approved by EVN.
The acceptance committee of Thai Binh TPP has allowed the commissioning after overhauling. Up to now, the unit equipment is operating stably and the technical parameters are satisfactory.
The completion of the planned major repair of the power unit will contribute to improving the power output of Thai Binh TPP, ensuring power supply in the dry season in 2022 and maintaining national energy security.
