The national grid is coming to the border area of Si Lo Phin, Tung Vai commune (Quan Ba).
In early 2024, the State invested nearly VND 5 billion to implement a project to install a 35kV medium-voltage line of over 1.6km long; 100kVA-35/0.4kV substation supplying power to 100% of households in the village.
Up to now, the province's electricity system has been constantly expanded and is moving towards modernity with 2 220kV substations and 5 step-up substations receiving power from hydropower plants to the grid. 220kV transmission lines and 220kV substations operate safely, ensuring stability in power transmission and connection to regional and national lines. There are 5 110kV substations and a number of 110kV stations that increase the voltage from hydropower plants to transmit to the 110kV grid; 13 110kV power lines supply power to 110kV distribution stations from power transmission lines from hydropower plants in the area and feeders behind the 220kV substation, etc. The 110kV lines and substations operate safely, ensuring the stability of the power supply for the locality. There are 1,678 medium-voltage substations with a total capacity of 338,616MVA; the total length of the medium-voltage line is 2,952.5km. The total length of low-voltage lines in the whole province is more than 3,200km of overhead lines and over 1km of underground cables.
Implementing the goal of eliminating "off-grid" villages and hamlets in terms of electricity, from the beginning of the term of the 17th Provincial Party Congress until now, the whole province has 157 power grid projects completed to supply power to the people and are being invested in construction. Of these, 19 projects have been put into operation to supply power, 54 projects have completed construction 100% of the required quantity, but have not yet been accepted for energization and 84 projects are under construction.
Rural power projects in the province are invested in and built from many programs and capital sources, such as sub-projects on power supply in remote areas, and ethnic minority areas that have not been supplied power from the national grid, in the period I; Rural power supply subprojects from the national grid, period 2018-2020 funded by the EU; Rural power supply from the national grid - using ODA capital, preferential loans, and other capital sources; New Rural Construction Program, National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, and so on.
Despite great efforts, up to now in the province, there are still 112 villages and hamlets (6 border villages) and 7,519 households that have not been supplied power from the national grid. Of these, 48 villages are investing and have completed power works but have not yet energized; 64 villages have not yet been invested in (Estimated scale: 35kV residential line of 217 km long, 76 substations, total capacity of 6,593kVA; 0.4kV line of 235km long; estimated cost of about VND 410,380 billion). Thus, we will complete the goal of eliminating "off-grid" villages and hamlets so that people can enjoy the fruits of the national renovation and development process.
