The project is constructed in a scale of 500kV (2 circuits), with a length of 85.2km, the starting point is the 500kV distribution yard of Long Phu Power Center (PC) and the ending point is in O Mon 500kV substation.
The commissioning of this project realizes the important goal under the Government’s direction to release the capacity of Long Phu PC to national electricity system. The works along with other 500kV and 220kV lines in the area create stable-reliable system link between power centers and local areas.
The 500kV Long Phu - O Mon Thermal Power Line Project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and SPMB manages the project. Power Transmission Company No.4 receives and manages the line operation.
The line goes through Long Phu and Chau Thanh districts (Soc Trang province); Phung Hiep and Chau Thanh A districts (Hau Giang province); Phong Dien and O Mon districts (Can Tho city) to a 500kV O Mon substation.
