Energizing Dinh Quan 220kV Substation and its connection line

On October 31, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPTC) and the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB), in coordination with relevant units,  successfully energized Dinh Quan 220kV Substation and its connection line (Dong Nai province).

This is a level I, group B energy project invested by EVNNPTC, managed by SPMB, and operated by Power Transmission Company 4.

Dinh Quan 220kV Substation and its 220kV connection line were built in Phu Vinh commune, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province. The substation consists of 2 250MVA transformers with a total capacity of 500MVA. The 220kV side scales 10 bays, in this phase, equipment is installed for 7 bays, with 3 bays of backup positions. The 110kV side scales 18 bays, in this phase, equipment is installed for 9 bays, with 9 bays of backup positions. The 22kV side has outdoor equipment arranged according to the power supply block diagram for self-use.

The 220kV connection line section consists of 2 new double-circuit transmission lines, each about 0.5 km long, connecting Dinh Quan's 220kV substation to Bao Loc—Song May's 220kV transmission line.

Dinh Quan 220kV Substation and its connection line were put into operation to ensure power supply for the increasing load demand of Dong Nai province in general and Dinh Quan district in particular. This contributed to ensuring the N-1 criterion and improved the reliability and safety of the regional power grid.
