Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Gal Saf, Counselor, Head of the Economic and Trade Office, Israeli Embassy in Vietnam, stated that Israeli businesses have a lot of experience in responding to cyber security threats, and hoped to share Israel’s experiences and lessons with EVN. At the same time, the Israeli Embassy is ready to connect Vietnam Electricity and Israeli businesses, opening up opportunities for bilateral cooperation in areas of Israel's strengths, especially cyber security.
EVN’s Vice President Vo Quang Lam sincerely thanked the Israeli Embassy for the cooperation and support extended to EVN in the past time. According to EVN’s Vice President, the scale of Vietnam’s power system has been growing rapidly along with the increasing requirements for information safety and security. Israel's practical and valuable experience and solutions are of great value to EVN and can be studied, selected, and applied for ensuring the safety and security of Vietnam’s power system.

Israel is having advanced scientific and technical development, especially in the fields of innovation, information technology, security, etc. According to statistics, the number of cyber attacks in Israel currently ranks at the highest level in the world, however, Israel possesses solutions to deal with and ensure cyber security and internet-based systems.
The two sides shared and discussed some key subjects in this meeting including EVN’s vision and security technology plan; customer identity management solution; cyber security technology; cyber defense solutions for training critical infrastructure; experience in improving cyber security personnel capacity, etc.
Also within the framework of this working session, 2 workshops on security were held for EVN's functional departments and member units.
