Inauguration of the Semi-boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities of Vang Dan Primary - Secondary School (Dien Bien province)

On 19 May, in Vang Dan commune (Nam Po district, Dien Bien province), the People's Committee of Nam Po district in collaboration with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) inaugurated and award the Vang Dan Semi-Boarding Primary – Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities. This is a project funded by the Electricity industry with more than VND 8 billion VND.

The project is scaled at a total investment of VND 12 billion. In which, EVN and EVNNPC sponsored 70% (equivalent to VND 8.4 billion), the remaining capital was used from the local budget and the contributions of a number of benefactors.

Supported and newly invested by the Electricity sector to invest in new construction, the school has conditions to improve the care and education quality for students and progress to building a school that meets national standards.

At the inauguration ceremony, EVNNPC awarded 50 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances; EVNNPC Youth Union donated 250 gifts of warm clothes and written books; Dien Bien Power Company donated 250 gifts, including backpacks containing books to students.
