A representative of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) - the investor of the 500kV circuit-3 project from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen) which was inaugurated on August 29, said that storm No. 3 sweeping through the northern provinces did not affect, damage or cause any incidents to this line.
As for other 500kV lines, according to statistics from Vietnam Electricity, there was a total of 14 500kV grid incidents. Up to now, the Electricity industry has resolved 11 incidents. The 500kV lines in the Northeast region such as Pho Noi - Thang Long, Hiep Hoa - Quang Ninh, Quang Ninh - Thang Long, Quang Ninh - Mong Duong 1, Quang Ninh - Pho Noi, etc., have basically been resolved.
Regarding power incidents, on September 15, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) restored power supply to 95.23% of customers affected by storm No. 3 and post-storm circulation.
Regarding the 110kV grid, the Northern Power Corporation has restored 160/173 lines and 88/90 transformer stations. Currently, only 2/90 transformer stations in Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong City have not been restored, which are Dong A Steel transformer station and Cat Ba 110kV transformer station.
Currently, Bac Tien Phong and Nam Tien Phong industrial parks (Quang Ninh province) are solving problems with medium voltage lines and are expected to supply power on September 16. Hoanh Bo industrial cluster (Quang Ninh province) is solving problems with medium voltage lines and is expected to supply power on September 16, 2024.

Floods in 16 provinces including Yen Bai, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, Bac Kan, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Vinh Phuc and Hung Yen affected many customers. Currently, the situation solving power grid problems in the northern provinces is still facing many difficulties because many areas were flooded due to the impact of the storm circulation, causing traffic to be separated and isolated.
