National Load Dispatch Center participates in seminar series 'Women in Renewable and Energy in Southeast Asia'

In Hanoi, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory recently in coordination with the Department of Energy Resources and, the United States Department of State organized successfully a seminar series with the theme "Women in Renewable and Energy in Southeast Asia (WIRES)". These are activities within the framework of the Japan–US – Mekong Power Partnership (JUMPP).

With the target of technical and professional development for female electrical engineers working in the renewable energy sector of Southeast Asia, the seminar series attracted the participation of more than 50 female engineers and speakers, representatives from the US, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam; including the female engineer force of the National Load Dispatch Center (EVNNLDC).

Especially as a guest speaker, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh - a Renewable Energy Department Engineer gave a presentation on the theme "Operating Vietnam's power system with high penetration of Renewable Energy sources - Opportunity and Challenge". The presentation not only provides general information about the operation of Vietnam's power system in recent times along with advantages and disadvantages, but also provides an in-depth analysis of the power system operation with high penetration of renewable energy sources. The presentation also received a lot of attention from participating guests through exchanges, discussions, and sharing of experiences on renewable energy development in Vietnam as well as other countries in the region and around the world, etc.
