Voluntary blood donation has become an annual activity of EVN in the past 5 years
During these five times of Red Week, the EVN staff and their relatives have contributed more than 40,000 blood units to “blood banks” nationwide, making an important contribution to treatment of hundreds of thousand patients.
Particularly, as EVN’s Red Weeks were organized near the Lunar New Year, they became even more meaningful because blood stored in hospitals is usually most scarce in the holidays before and after the Lunar New Year.
Also, within the framework of the 5th EVN Red Week, EVN in cooperation with the National Institute of Haematology-Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) organized "Children's playground - Light the future" for children treated for blood cancer at the Children's Department of the Institute, on 27 November 2019. In that occasion, the children had visited the Exhibition of Vietnam Power Industry and participated in exciting games.
The Red Week was launched by the EVN and NIHBT. This was also one of the important activities to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Vietnam Electricity Tradition Day (December 21, 1954 – December 21, 2019); and responded actively to EVN's "Month of Gratitude to Our Customers - December 2019".
