The Yen Lac 110kV substation project has a total investment of VND 143.5 billion, with a scale including new construction of a double-circuit 110kV power line using ACSR400 conductor with a length of 0.247km; synchronous installation of two 63 MVA 110kV transformers. The outdoor installation work includes two 110kV transmission line bays to Vinh Tuong 220kV substation and Viet Tri 110kV substation; 01 T1 transformer bay; 01 T2 transformer bay and 01 bay for 110kV section.
On 20 June 2024, all construction items of the Yen Lac 110kV substation project were energized and put into operation.
The project being put into operation will contribute to ensuring stable electricity supply reliability for Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc province; at the same time, prevent overload for the Hoi Hop 110kV substation, in Vinh Tuong district and effectively exploit the Vinh Tuong 220kV AT1 transformer installation project. The project also contributes to reducing power loss, improving the reliability of power supply to customers, and promptly supplying power to the load in Vinh Phuc province in general and Yen Lac district in particular during the hot season of 2024.

EVNNPC’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Do Nguyet Anh said that Yen Lac district and neighboring areas are places focusing on the development of many industrial clusters and professions, especially iron and steel production enterprises with sharply increasing electricity demand. Therefore, 110kV substations and medium voltage power grids in the area are often at full load. To improve power quality, the Northern Power Corporation has decided to urgently deploy several projects to renovate and improve the transmission capacity of the 110kV power grid, invest in new construction of 110kV substations to regional power supply, including 2 projects "Yen Lac 110kV line and substation" and "T2 transformer installation for Yen Lac 110kV substation ".
