According to EVN Vice President Vo Quang Lam, 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW is also a period in which EVN has developed the most strongly in digital transformation. With the support of ministries, branches, and internal efforts, EVN completed many digital transformation targets and achieved several results such as the electricity access index ranked 27th out of 190 countries and economies; the scale of the power system is among the top in ASEAN, etc.

Concerning investment in, building, and upgrading of information technology infrastructure, EVN built a North-South backbone optical transmission system and established 9 inter-provincial Ring rounds and access network systems in provinces and cities. The WAN network system has also been developed and designed according to a modern model with high redundancy and connection to all member units.

In order to contribute to building a digital economy and a digital society, EVN has promoted connecting and sharing data between agencies and units to serve state administration and management and provide services to business people. Since 2022, EVN has completed the deployment of the EVNConnect digital ecosystem connecting with national public administration systems and the national population database. At the same time, EVN has upgraded its invoicing systems, connected directly with the General Department of Taxation. In electricity payment work, EVN has created links with banks and payment organizations, etc. Thereby, it practically brings digital utilities to people, improving the experience of electricity customers in a digital space.
