EVN and TKV work on coal supply for power production in last 6 months of 2025
The two sides informed about the implementation of coal supply contracts between thermal power plants in EVN and TKV in the first half of the year. In particular, thermal power plants ensure that coal inventories are maintained continuously throughout the dry season of 2025 and not lower than the prescribed level.

To meet the mobilization needs of the power system in the second half of 2025, EVN has directed the management units of coal-fired thermal power plants within EVN to regularly update the power supply plan and implement solutions to ensure sufficient fuel for power generation. Regarding coal inventories of thermal power plants, EVN has directed the plants to proactively review and develop plans to adjust the amount of coal in inventory to ensure flexibility and suitability with actual conditions.
On behalf of the TKV delegation, Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam - Deputy General Director of TKV, hoped that EVN would continue to update information regularly to promptly prepare plans to supply adequate fuel for electricity production for the remaining months of 2025 and the 2026 plan.
Mr. Ngo Son Hai affirmed that EVN would continue to closely coordinate with TKV on the basis of closely following the national power system operation method of NSMO (Ministry of Industry and Trade). EVN leaders also noted the possible abnormalities due to the rapid development of natural disasters and floods, so both sides need to proactively develop plans to ensure the effective operation of thermal power plants in all situations.
