Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - Deputy General Director of EVN said that, in recent years, with the Government's encouraging policies, renewable energy sources in Vietnam have had a strong development. Up to now, the total installed capacity of renewable energy sources in Vietnam has reached about 22,300MW, accounting for about 28% of the installed capacity of the national power system. The benefits of renewable energy are clear, but how to optimize this energy source in the power system is also a big challenge.
