Phu Tho PC energizes the project "Changing T-connection to transition on 110kV lines"

The project was energized by Phu Tho Power Company (PC Phu Tho) on 27 April 2020, ensuring a safe and stable power supply to meet the load development of Viet Tri city and Thuy Van industrial zone together with neighbouring districts (Thanh Son, Tam Nong, Thanh Thuy, Lam Thao).

The project is invested with a construction scale of 01 more 110kV line from Bay 178 of Viet Tri 220kV Transformer Station to Bay 172 of North Viet Tri 110kV Transformer Subtation. This is a project implemented in accordance with Phu Tho power development plan in the period of 2016 - 2025 with consideration to 2035 as approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).

Mr. Nguyen Quang Lam - Director of Phu Tho PC said, before the project was implemented, 5 110kV transformer substations: Bac Viet Tri, Thuy Van, Trung Ha, Tam Nong and Pho Vang (supplying power for nearly 120,000 customers) are only supplied power from a 110kV line, Bay 174 of Viet Tri 220kV transformer substation. Therefore, when renovating and repairing the grid as planned or when the line face failures, it will cause blackouts on a wide area over 5 districts and towns.

The transfer of T-connection to transitional mode aims to synchronize it with investment in grid development, enhance power supply capacity, improve reliability of power supply for production, business and service provision for Thuy Van Industrial Zone, Viet Tri City and neighbouring districts; at the same time increase attraction in investment with domestic and foreign businesses; meet the economic, political development, national security and defense of Phu Tho province.

In the coming time, Phu Tho PC will continue to carry out the projects: Son Tay - Pho Vang 110kV line; raising capacity, installing Transformer T2 of  Doan Hung 110kV transformer substation with a capacity of 40MVA; ... to ensure power supply for the power load and economic development needs of Phu Tho province.
