Power sales reached 23.22 billion kWh in first two months this year

During the first two months this year, the total power sales of EVN reached an estimated 23.22 billion kWh, growing by 12.18% over the same period of 2015.

According to EVN’s Business Department, in February alone, the total power sales of the entire corporation was estimated at 11.04 billion kWh, growing by 13.51% against the same period last year. In particular, during the New Year Festival (from 6-10/2/2016), EVN successfully ensured safe and stable power supply for customers.

For the whole EVN, power sales in the first two months gained an aggregate of 23.22 billion kWh, increasing by 12.18% compared with the same period in 2015.

Of which, power supplied for industry sector accounted for 53.6%, managerial and residential use made up 34.2%, commerce and services reached 5.2%, agriculture was 2.5% and for other sub-consumptions was 4.5%.

During the two recent months, EVN has actively coordinated with the Water Resource Directorate – Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to discharge water from hydropower reservoirs serving for soil preparation in the 2015-2016 Spring Winter cultivation season in the Northern Midlands and Red River Delta region. As a result, after three periods (then shortened to two) equivalent to 18 days, the total water supply from Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang and Thac Ba hydropower reservoirs (under EVN’s management) has reached 3.03 billion m3.

During March 2016, EVN continues pursuing its mission of securing electricity production for the national socio-economic development and gradually improving quality of customer services.

At the same time, EVN’s subsidiaries together with the community shall proactively and actively respond to the Earth Hour 2016 campaign and promulgate economical and efficient electricity use.
