Quy Nhon 220kV substation’s capacity raised to 500MVA

The (capacity of) AT1 transformer at Quy Nhon 220kV substation has been upgraded from 125MVA to 250MVA. The Central Vietnam Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) has energized and put equipment into operation.

Curently, the Quy Nhon 220kV substation is operating with two 250MVA transformers. The upgrading of capacity is aimed at meeting the load development demand in Binh Dinh province and surrounding areas.

The Project "Capacity Upgrading of Quy Nhon 220kV substation" is a component of the project "Capacity Upgrading of Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, Krong Buk, Bao Loc 220kV substations and 220kV transformer at Pleiku 500kV substation". The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), managed by CPMB on behalf of EVNNPT. The completed projects shall be handed-over to PTC3 for  manage and operation.

Previously, CPMB completed the works to raise the capacity of Nha Trang and Krong Buk 220kV substations.
