Nha Trang Center Power Unit’s worker repairing DCU - data collection unit
At Nha Trang Center Power Unit (Khanh Hoa Power Company), since the end of 2019, the RF-Spider remote data collection system has been installed and put into operation in all 306 substations which are the properties under the Power sector’s management, with more than 67,000 customers and the online rate of meters of over 99%.
In the past, to respond to customers' enquiries on their monthly power consumption, Nha Trang Center Power Unit had to arrange its employees recording the index to visit the customers' house, presenting the regulations on determining power consumption index, comparing the last month's consumption and that of the same period in the last year for the customers to understand the reality. However, during summer months, due to increasing demand for power, it took a lot of time to regularly arrange employees to visit each customer’s house for explanation.
With the RF-Spider system, the Power company’ employees only need to instruct customers to access https://spider.cpc.vn/kh.aspx to look up their power consumption index in each day, each month or each year, etc.
Moreover, the Power company’ employees can detect abnormal warnings related to customers' power consumption in order to advise them to check their electrical appliances.
Recently, upon the complicated happenings of COVID-19 pandemic, the Government has issued a direction on strictly implementing the regulations on social distancing. The application of RF-Spider system in customer care and response to customers’ enquiries has also helped prevent the form of direct contact between Power company’s employees and customers.
In 2020, Nha Trang Center Power Unit continues completing the RF-Spider telemetry system under the direction of Khanh Hoa Power Company in order to better perform customer care activities and at the same time, meet the requirements on monitoring the operation status of low-voltage grids, ensuring proper implementation of regulations on the grid management and operation in the situation of customers’ power demand increasing day by day.
