The GE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for ASEAN Worked at EVN

On November 30, at Vietnam Electricity Headquarters , EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai received and worked with the delegation from General Electric ( GE, United States) led by Mr. Wouter VAN WERSCH-GE CEO for ASEAN.

During the last years, GE has provided electrical equipment for the transmission system and equipment, turbines and generators for several power plants in Vietnam. GE also in collaboration with EVN held several high quality workshops on new technology , technology transfer and supported EVN in training of specialists and technical staff.

Mr. Wouter VAN WERSCH- GE CEO for ASEAN expressed a desire to closely cooperated with EVN to develop the power industry in Vietnam towards modernization.

A meeting between EVN and GE

Welcomed and worked with the delegation of GE, EVN Vice President Ngo Son Hai shared some overview information of EVN, as well as the power market situation in Vietnam.

EVN Vice President also informed that the Government of Vietnam was currently encouraging the development of renewable energy sources such as wind power and solar power. Therefore, GE can participate in developing these energy sources and contribute together with Vietnam to build the green economy.
