Practical effect
DHD manages and operates 4 hydropower power plants (Da Nhim, Song Pha, Ham Thuan, Da Mi), located in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces, but the company's headquarters is in Lam Dong province. Therefore, the management and operation of production and business activities has encountered certain difficulties and limitations. In 2012, DHD studied and invested in building an OCC and put it into operation from December 2013 for Ham Thuan - Da Mi hydropower plants, and from March 2014 another OCC for Da Nhim – Song Pha Hydropower Plants.
After more than 7 years of official operation, up to now, OCCs have been operating stably, transmission systems, communication systems, data acquisition dsystems all have been operating reliably and efficiently, without incidents due to subjective causes. All operations at OCCs have been performed timely and accurate as required by the National and Regional Load Dispatch Centers.
Each operation shift of DHD currently needs only 2 - 3 people.
Putting OCCs into operation has basically met the requirements of the Company's development strategy under the centralized management model, promoting the efficiency of management and operation of power generation. OCCs have aggregated and provided in a full and timely manner information on plant equipment conditions, hydrological situations in reservoir basins and related data for analysis and evaluation of production and business performance, thereby setting up reasonable bids for power plants, effectively participating in the competitive electricity generation market.
In addition, thanks to OCCs, the Company has saved cost of leasing telecommunications channels by reducing from 20 leased transmission channels to only 5 channels.
Currently, the Company continues to maintain the operation shifts at the power plants, each on-site operation shift is arranged with from 2 to 3 people tomonitor, supervise and operate equipmentin place.
The model will be replicated
In the coming time, the Company will fully automate Song Pha Hydropower Plant; building an unmanned operation model at Da Mi Solar Power Plant.
