Customers in Ho Chi Minh City can pay electricity bill via CSKH EVNHCMC software on mobile phones
According to EVNHCMC, although electricity bills are made in cash by only about 9.5% of customers, most of them are old people or those in rural areas that have been not able to access to online electricity bill payment service.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Quoc Viet, - Deputy General Director of EVNHCMC said that in 2019, the Corporation would continue to implement solutions that had been effective in recent times. In order to change habit and awareness of paying in cash of people, EVNHCMC had coordinated with banks to promote propagandizing and mobilizing customers by strong communication activities as well as the incentive policy through programs such as: Lucky draw for customers who pay electricity bill online; encouraging the form of automatic debt deduction for bill payment, etc.
In addition, the Corporation has properly prepared technical infrastructure facilities to timely meet the needs of expanding and diversifying electronic payment channels. Particularly, in the coming time, EVNHCMC will continuously develop more prestigious and potential collection partners to help the customers in rural areas to have more choices and easy access to online payment forms.
In 2003: EVNHCMC signed contracts of bill payment collection with two banks of VietcomBank and BIDV
In 2019: EVNHCMC cooperated with 23 banks and 09 partners, collected bill payment through 2,279 ATMs, 6,973 collection locations, etc.
