Workers of Tra Vinh PC and contractors are transporting equipment and materials for the Con Phung electrification project
The project is composed of construction of 6.3km of three - phase 22kV overhead line; 0.48km of three - phase 22kV underwater cable (crossing the river); 14.3km of three - phase low voltage overhead line; 7 1,050kVA substations and installation of 136 power meters.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Deputy Director of Bach Khoa Investment Development Consultant Company Ltd. which is a contractor of the project, said that the most difficult stage in this project was the installation of three - phase 22kV underwater cable crossing the river with the length of approximately 0.5km. To meet the electricity demand of local people, the company mobilized all human resources to complete the project on schedule, expectedly on November 15, 2018.
Con Phung hamlet is located completely separated from Long Hoa commune, as a small island. Therefore, all trade activities with other localities as well as daily livings of households there are attached to and relied largely on water transportation.
At present, there are 136 households in the hamlet, of which 49 households use solar energy, the rest of the people mostly use oil lamps for lighting. Connecting the national power grid to this hamlet is of great significance in improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Especially, the project will help local people develop their economy, particularly in aquaculture area.
