Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2023: “Transparent information - Safe consumption”

On March 12 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association held a meeting to respond to Vietnam's Consumer Rights Day 2023 and opened the program "Business for consumers". Vietnam Electricity assigned Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI) to participate to introduce, promote and guide consumers to use online electricity services.

On this occasion, 16 enterprises participating in the "Business for consumers" program 2023, including EVNHANOI, were awarded certificates of participation in the program by the organizers. Delegates also marched in propaganda at Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian zone to respond to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2023 and the program "Business for consumers".

Talking at this program, Mr. Tran Viet Nguyen - Deputy Head of the Business Department of Vietnam Electricity said: Consumers are the beneficiaries, the ultimate purpose of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. Organizations and businesses participating in the program, including Vietnam Electricity, desire to show their responsibilities in business activities to ensure the interests of consumers following the law. Besides, EVN wishes to introduce digitized products of the Power sector in business - customer service through the program. Thereby, demonstrating the commitment to more than 30 million power customers in particular, nearly 100 million Vietnamese people in general, EVN always strives to provide the most timely and transparent information about the Power sector to the customers.

At the program, EVNHANOI on behalf of EVN set up a booth to introduce, promote and guide consumers to use EVNHANOI's customer care ecosystem, introduce online electricity services, etc.

According to the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association, the activities of the program are aimed at calling and encouraging the participation of state agencies, social organizations, businesses and consumers in related activities; step by step making Consumer Rights Day an important driving force and highlight in socio-economic life, contributing to building a healthy business and consumption environment for the country.

From 2016 until now, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has selected a specific theme for Vietnam Consumer Rights Day for agencies and organizations to focus on implementing on the occasion of March every year. With diverse forms, rich content, active and effective participation of localities within the framework of activities launched by MoIT, it has brought the value of connecting and spreading consumer rights protection activities across the country.
