Mr. Vu Kiem Van
Reporter: Could you please tell us how the Organizing Committee assessed information technology (IT) products that EVN developed and applied in the digital transformation process?
Mr. Vu Kiem Van: Through the review of EVN’s documentation, as well as thorough evaluation of IT systems that EVN has registered, the Organizing Committee, the Prequalification Council and the Evaluation Council have been very impressed by and have highly evaluated IT application, digital transformation accomplishments of Vietnam Electricity.
It can be summarized with two major accomplishments: EVN has enhanced its business management effectiveness through the application of electronic office systems; and has applied IT systems to support customers in accessing and using EVN’s services, improving the experience of electricity customers. In addition, EVN has applied systems to optimize its operation network. IT applications have helped the Group improve their corporate governance capacity, reduce EVN's production and business costs, provide customers with more facilities and higher incentive values when using EVN's services.
Reporter: Along with EVN, 3 member organizations under EVN are honored with many of the Digital Awards. What is the implication of these awards, sir?
Mr. Vu Kiem Van: The fact that member organizations under EVN have been recognized and honored with the Vietnam Digital Awards 2019 shows that the digital transformation has been being realized synchronously and extensively throughout the Group.
It must be added that the synchronous digital transformation is a challenge of any businesses. However, among state-owned groups and corporations, EVN has paid attention to the digital transformation in a very early manner, with a clear perception and foresight on this issue.
I highly appreciate the determination and vision of the top management of Vietnam Electricity when they have built an inclusive, thorough and constantly integrated IT system all over EVN from the headquarters to member organizations, which have intensely served its management, business and production activities, etc. This is also a technological highlight of EVN and its member organizations highly valued by the Organizing Committee.
