Newly built North Phu Quoc 110kV substation having put into operation

Most recently, EVNSPC successfully energized and put into operation the newly built  North Phu Quoc 110kV substation in Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang province (belonging to the North Phu Quoc 110kV substation). The substation is designed to install two transformers with a capacity of 2x63MVA; during this phase, a 1x63MVA transformer was installed.

The  North Phu Quoc 110kV Substation is also equipped with a SCADA communication system, HMI, surveillance cameras, data collection, and remote control of substation equipment, contributing to meeting the target of centralized management and automation in the Power industry.

This project is invested in construction to contribute to connecting the 22kV medium voltage grid with the Phu Quoc 110kV Substation to ensure the N-1 criteria and reduce the power supply radius, thereby improving the power quality, increasing the reliability of power supply to Phu Quoc island district, promoting socio-economic development in the island district.

Inspecting equipment before energizing transformer T1, Thach Duc 110kV substation (Go Dau, Tay Ninh)

Previously, EVNSPC also successfully accepted and energized transformer T1, Thach Duc 110kV substation (Go Dau district, Tay Ninh province), completing the renovation work, increasing the capacity of Thach Duc 110kV substation from 2x40MVA to 2x63MVA. The work ensures a safe and continuous power supply for the load in the Go Dau district, part of Duong Minh Chau district. In particular, the work also meets the power supply capacity for Hiep Thanh industrial park, which has just been approved by the Prime Minister for investment; improves the reliability of N-1 operation, connects the  Thach Duc 110kV substation with the 110kV substations in Hoa Thanh, Phuoc Dong, Phuoc Duc, Trang Bang, Ben Cau areas, support the power supply through the 22kV feeder when there is equipment maintenance and repair work, etc.

Also in Tay Ninh province, EVNSPC has completed energized and put into operation the entire work to upgrade the capacity of the  Tan Bien 110kV substation from 2x40 MVA to 2x63 MVA (in Tan Bien district). The work meets the load demand of Tan Bien district and neighboring districts; reduces power loss, enhances the reliability of power supply to the area; increases flexibility in operation as well as gradually upgrades the distribution power grid by N-1 standards; supports the  Tan Hung and Suoi Dop 110kV substations in the province.

In 2025, EVNSPC set many important targets and tasks; in which, in the first 4 months of the year, it is determined to complete 50 projects to make practical achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the EVNSPC's establishment and development. In January alone, EVNSPC plans to energize and put into operation a total of 6 works.

In 2024, EVNSPC achieved remarkable success in construction investment by starting 58 works and completing the energization of 78 110kV power grid projects (including 62 works by the annual plan, and 16 transitional and renovation works). In addition, 583 medium and low-voltage projects were energized. The total disbursed investment capital value in 2024 is VND 13,798 billion, reaching 104.5% of the plan.
