The work was invested in and constructed in Kinh Mon town, Thanh Ha, Tu Ky, Gia Loc, Cam Giang districts, Hai Duong city (Hai Duong province); Luong Tai district (Bac Ninh province) and Van Lam district (Hung Yen province). The project has a total investment of more than VND 687 billion. The route is nearly 56km long, starting at the 220kV busbar of the 220kV distribution yard of Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant, and ending at the 220kV busbar of the 220kV distribution yard of Pho Noi 500kV Substation.

After completion, the project will meet the demand for load growth in the Northeast region and the Northern power system; transmit electricity to Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant, strengthen the loop connection between areas in the power system, increase the safety and stability of operation for the national power system; reduce power loss in the transmission grid, improve the overall production and business efficiency of the power system.

The  Hai Duong – Pho Noi 220kV power line project is a level I, group B energy work, invested by EVNNPT, managed by the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB), and operated by Power Transmission Company 1.
