Meaningful activities by EVN’s member units on occasion of 78th War Invalids and Martyrs Day anniversary

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), many member units within Vietnam Electricity (EVN) have been simultaneously carrying out numerous meaningful activities to express deep gratitude to those who sacrificed and contributed to the independence and freedom of the nation.

Meaningful activities such as offering incense, flowers, and lighting candles at martyrs’ cemeteries have been organized by many EVN units, demonstrating deep gratitude to those who "sacrificed their lives so the nation could survive." In the photo: Leaders of the Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) offered incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Da Nang City.

The working delegation of Son La Hydropower Company offered incense and flowers at the Memorial Site of Heroic Martyr Lò Văn Giá.

Many member units within EVN have carried out meaningful activities such as visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts to war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services. In the photo: Vice President of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union (ĐLVN), Ms. Đinh Thị Thanh Bình, visited and presented gifts at the Thuận Thành War Invalids Nursing Center (Bac Ninh Province).

The EVN Youth Union launched a series of activities under the theme “Connecting the Circuit of Gratitude” in celebration of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. In the photo: The EVN Youth Union presented gifts at the Center for Care, Nurturing, and Treatment of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Hanoi.

The Youth Union of the EVN Electricity Information and Communication Center (EVNEIC), together with the Youth Union of the Power Project Management Board 1 (EVNPMPB1), visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers undergoing treatment at the Center for the Rehabilitation of People with Meritorious Services in Phu Tho Province.

Many EVN units organized tribute activities for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
In the photo: The Youth Union and Trade Union of Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyễn Thị Lai in Phu Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Units have also organized various activities to visit and support employees who are war veterans or have relatives recognized as national contributors.
In the photo: The Trade Union of EVN Headquarters held a gratitude meeting with staff members who are children of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, martyrs, and those affected by Agent Orange due to their families' involvement in the resistance war.

The Youth Union of the Northern Power Corporation Headquarters (EVNNPC), in collaboration with the Corporation’s Veterans Association, organized a visit and gift-giving trip to former veterans who once served at the unit. This was also an opportunity to connect, passing on and sharing noble ideals among generations.
