Accelerating the cluster of projects to evacuate power from Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant

As of September 15, the implementation schedule of the cluster of power transmission projects to evacuate power from Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant is considered on the right track. The National Power Transmission Corporation and the Central Power Projects Management Board have demanded contractors accelerate their work progress at the construction site.

According to the report of the Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB), as of September 15, many important items of the Van Phong 500kV substation project have been completed. As for the connected 220kV transmission line, the land acquisition and handover of all 62/62 foundation positions and 60/62 towers’ right of way have been completed. Regarding the construction volume of this transmission line, the digging and casting of foundations of all positions have been finalized; towers have been erected at 62/66 positions; 12.56/26.2 km of the line have been constructed.

With regards to the Van Phong - Vinh Tan 500kV transmission line project, the land at 304/304 foundation positions has been handed over. As for the right of way, Khanh Hoa province has handed over 172/172 tower spans (100%); Ninh Thuan province handed over 125/132 (reaching 94.6%). Regarding the construction volume, foundations at all 304/304 positions have been excavated, the foundation casting has been completed for 299/304 positions; towers at 264/304 positions have been erected; and the transmission line stringing has been done for 20/79 anchorage spans.

Regarding the progress of the 500kV transmission line connecting from the Thuan Nam 500kV substation to the 500kV Van Phong - Vinh Tan transmission line, the foundation excavation and casting of 3/3 positions have been completed, the towers have been erected at 2/3 positions, and 84/1.27 km of the line has been constructed.
