Chairman of EVN's Board of Directors Dang Hoang An welcomes and works with Hall Chadwick Melbourne Group (Australia)

On February 28, in Hanoi, the Chairman of EVN’s Board of Directors Dang Hoang An welcomed and worked with the delegation of Hall Chadwick Melbourne Group (Australia) led by Mr. Ted Baillieu AO (former Premier of Victoria, Australia), discussing some content in the energy field.

Participating in the working group of Hall Chadwick Melbourne Group were Mr. Simon Reed - Managing Director of Robert LuxMoore; Mr. Michael Hannibal, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CiP); Mr. Mark Garkaw, Director of L39 Capital 5; and Mr. Peter Rubinstein - Director of L39 Capital.

On the side of EVN’s member, there is Mr. Nguyen Tien Khoa - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Power Generation Corporation 1.

Talking with EVN leaders, Mr. Ted Baillieu AO said that he and the members of the working group have been involved in energy transition projects in Victoria state (Australia) for a long time and are ready to share and exchange this experience with international partners, aiming to be carbon neutral and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Mr. Ted Baillieu AO commented that Vietnam is one of the countries with high renewable energy development potential. Therefore, the working group is looking forward to expanding the experience exchange between the two sides in the energy transition process as well as developing types of green energy, creating valuable connections, and contributing to the success of renewable energy projects in Vietnam.

Also according to EVN leaders, Vietnam is setting the goal of energy transition and carbon neutrality by 2050. To contribute to achieving that goal, EVN will promote renewable energy development. Therefore, EVN always welcomes partners interested in investing in this field, as well as financial support to attract investment in renewable energy development.
