Construction site of the Expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant is following up construction progress

On August 9, a meeting was held in Hanoi on the construction progress in July and the plan for August of the Expanded Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant (HBHP). EVN Deputy General Director Pham Hong Phuong chaired the meeting.

Reporting at the meeting, according to Mr. Dao Trong Sang - Deputy Director of Power Project Management Board No. 1 (EVNPMB1), the main targets in the concrete construction of the water intake gate, the plant, and tunnel No. 2 all met the planned progress. Specifically, the concrete construction volume of the water intake gate reached 150% of the plan; the concrete construction volume of the plant reached 105% of the plan; the concrete construction volume of the water tunnel No. 2 reached 116%, and so on. The construction volume and equipment installation volume of some segments also reached and surpassed the set plan.

Many solutions have been implemented by EVNPMB1, contractors, and related units to speed up the project's progress. The supervision consultants performed supervision in 3 consecutive shifts, meeting the requirements for acceptance and supervision at the site. At the same time, safety work was emphasized. EVNPMB1 regularly urged, supervised, and managed contractors to carry out safety and environmental sanitation work according to the plan.

The EVN’s Vice President requested that the construction of items on the site must be organized synchronously, ensuring the overall progress and quality of the project. Review and control the quality of concrete construction work, paying attention to the quality of surface concrete; ensure the target, construction volume, and harmonious coordination between the installation and the construction.

EVNPMB1 and contractors shall complete the plan for organizing the construction of the 500kV connecting line and the plan for dismantling the water intake dyke in August. These are very important tasks that need to be reported to the Group's leaders regularly.

EVN’s leaders have also given direct instructions on financial work; site clearance work; completing the overall project profile and adjusted design documents. EVN's professional departments and units are required to continue to coordinate closely for effectively implementing the project.
