The project aims to prevent overloading in 2021, strengthen transmission grid connectivity, improve stability and reliability of power supply to Ha Nam province and meet the growing power demand in Southern Hanoi. This is a level I, group C energy project, and expected to be completed in QIV of 2021.
Once completed, Thanh Nghi 220kV substation will see its total capacity increased from 250MVA to 500MVA. The project implementation is in line with the power development planning in Ha Nam province for the period 2016-2025, with a vision to 2035, which has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Revised Power Planning VII of the Prime Minister.
