The delegation included the representatives of about 20 enterprises, consulting and researching units in Netherland’s energy sector participated.
Representing for the delegation, Ms. Pauline Eizema thanked EVN’s leaders for spending their time to welcome and work with the delegation. She also emphasized that in the recent years, Vietnam and Netherlands has been continuously developing their good bilateral cooperation relations.
In 2018, Netherlands is the largest European investor in Vietnam. On that basis, enterprises of the two countries have also strengthened their cooperation in many fields.

The working session was an opportunity for Netherland enterprises and EVN to exchange information and seek for possibilities to strengthen their cooperation in the coming time, particularly in the field of wind power - the strength of Netherland’s energy sector.

EVN’s General Director Tran Dinh Nhan said that currently, the Government of Vietnam was encouraging the development of wind power projects, particularly the potential areas such as Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, and Soc Trang Provinces, etc.
It is expected that by 2020, Vietnam will have 1,000MW generated by wind power source. By 2030, the total wind power capacity could reach 6,200MW.
EVN always supports and is willing to assist and cooperate with partners participating to invest in wind power development, aiming to ensure the power supply for the country’s socio-economic development.
At the working session, the two sides spent a lot of time discussing about Netherland’s wind turbine technology, the possibilities to raise fund for wind power projects in Vietnam in the coming time, challenges and experience in operating power systems with a variety of connected-to-grid energy sources, etc.
