A working session between EVNNPT's General Director and Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee
According to the report of the Southern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) under EVNNPT, EVNNPT is currently implementing two projects in Binh Duong province, including the Duc Hoa - Chon Thanh 500kV transmission line project (new construction of a dual-circuit 500kV line and four mixed-circuits 500-220kV line with the total length of about 104km). The transmission line passing through Binh Duong province is more than 34km long, including 123 pole positions. The construction commenced on 30 December 2020, and the progress of phase 1 is to be completed in QII/2022. However, the project still has site-clearance obstacles in all 3/3 districts where the transmission line passes. For the Chon Thanh - Ben Cat 220kV transmission line project, the section through Binh Duong province has a length of 49.5km, including 112 foundation positions. Currently, the project is facing site-clearance problems in Bau Bang district. EVNNPT has proposed to Binh Duong province to pay attention and direct relevant departments, agencies and sectors to urgently and more drastically participate to remove difficulties for the investor according to specific progress milestones.

In the coming time, EVNNPT will also invest in 10 other power transmission projects to serve the socio-economic development goals of Binh Duong province and other localities in the region. These are all urgent key projects and must be completed in the 2022-2025 period but there are still problems with investment procedures, so EVNNPT/SPMB also proposes to Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee to pay attention and support these projects.
