Power Purchase Agreement Signing Ceremony between EPTC and Trung Nam Solar Power
The electricity price in the signed PPA has been defined in compliance with the Prime Minister's Decision No. 11/2017/QD-TTg dated April 11, 2017. Specifically, EPTC will purchase electricity at the trading time at VND 2,086 per kWh. This tariff is applicable to the part of grid connected solar power plant to be put into commercial operation before June 30, 2019 and will be valid for 20 years from the commercial operation date.
In cases where a part of the plant comes into operation after June 30, 2019, the two parties shall consider and agree on a new tariff to be incorporated in the power purchase agreement after a new guideline is made available by the competent authority regarding the applicable feed in tariff for the subsequent period.
Trung Nam Solar Power Plant Project has a total area of 264 hectares in Thuan Bac District, Ninh Thuan Province. The project is designed with more than 705,000 PV panels, 45 inverters and associated equipment, all connected to a step-up power transformer. The total investment cost of the project is nearly VND 5,000 billion. It is expected that the annual electricity production will reach about 420 million kWh.
Trung Nam Solar Power will start construction on July 7, 2018 and the project is scheduled to be put into commercial operation in June 2019. After integrating with the national grid, the project will contribute to supplementing electricity for Ninh Thuan province in particular and the whole country in general.
