At the meeting, representative of Apple Group (Apple Inc.) said that the Group has used 100% of renewable energy for its offices, retail stores and data centers in 43 countries around the world.
Apple Inc., is now expanding its efforts in reducing emissions into the environment with its Clean Energy Program for suppliers, with the intention of shifting its entire supply chain into using 100% renewable energy.
Therefore, Apple Inc., desires to explore opportunities to apply DPPA mechanism in Vietnam in order to use 100% renewable energy for the supply chains of this business in our country.
Talking with the representative of Apple Inc., EVN General Director Tran Dinh Nhan welcomed and appreciated the efforts made by Apple Inc., in commitment to using 100% renewable energy stores, offices and workshops; especially with the intention of investing and using power from renewable energy sources for supply chains of this technology Group in Vietnam.
General Director of EVN suggested Apple Inc., promptly work with the functional units of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to have more specific instructions and exchanges on the DPPA mechanism in order to realize the above objective.
