EVN and high-level delegation from West Africa share experiences in energy field

On December 12, in Hanoi, EVN’s Vice President Vo Quang Lam chaired a welcoming and working session with a high-level delegation from the Republic of Liberia, the Republic of Sierra Leone, and the West African Power Pool (WAPP) to exchange and share experiences in the energy field.

At the meeting, Vice President Vo Quang Lam expressed his joyfulness and welcomed the high-level delegation with the Electricity Corporations of the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Sierra Leone to visit and exchange experiences with Vietnam Electricity. EVN leaders emphasized that exchanging and sharing experiences in the energy field will be a useful opportunity for the parties to improve and develop together.

Mr. Monie Captan commented that Vietnam is one of the countries with many achievements in energy development, meeting the needs for socio-economic development. In particular, EVN, with its important role in the energy industry, has achieved many impressive achievements in customer care services, rural electricity development, etc. Therefore, through the discussion with EVN, the delegation believed they would learn a lot of useful experience and knowledge for application.

At the meeting, delegates actively exchanged and discussed many topics in-depth such as EVN's challenges, solutions, and experiences in developing power sources, transmission and distribution grids, and reducing power loss; application of modern technology in management and operation; experience in human resource management; experience in rural electricity development; energy transition towards reducing emissions; developing renewable energy, and so on.

Many highly practical questions were raised by delegates in the working group during the discussion and were answered specifically by Vice President Vo Quang Lam and EVN’s professional boards.
