EVN and STAMEQ signing a memorandum of cooperation
The Memorandum of Understanding between EVN and STAMEQ will open up new opportunities to best promote the potential and advantages of each party for mutual development, thereby improving operational efficiency. At the same time, it can help EVN strengthen and innovate measurement activities in power production and business of EVN in the period until 2030. The application of measurement standards in power production and trading will contribute to improving the efficiency in the following fields: production, transmission, business and distribution of power; manufacturing and trade in electrical equipment; providing testing, measuring, testing, electrical testing services, and so on.
Vo Quang Lam - Deputy General Director of EVN affirmed that the cooperation would help EVN strengthen and innovate measurement activities in power production and business.
Mr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy General Director in charge of STAMEQ expressed his hope that the pioneering of EVN will contribute to spreading and improving the efficiency of measurement activities in enterprises.
The cooperation between EVN and STAMEQ will contribute to promoting the implementation of the Project on strengthening and renewing measurement activities, supporting Vietnamese enterprises, improving competitiveness and international integration in the period until 2025, orientation towards 2030 as approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 996/QD-TTg dated 10 August 2018; at the same time, contributing to the implementation of the development strategy of Vietnam Electricity for the period until 2030, with a vision to 2045 in accordance with the Prime Minister's Decision No. 538/QD-TTg 1 dated April 2021.
The signing event of the Memorandum of Understanding between EVN and STAMEQ will contribute to improving competitiveness and strive to become a sustainable and effective energy-technology corporation in the era of Industrial Revolution No. 4.

Specific cooperation contents between EVN and STAMEQ:
- Focusing on promoting propaganda, raising awareness and conducting widespread dissemination of the role and importance of measurement activities to support power production and trading enterprises.
- Effectively developing and implementing the Program of Measurement Assurance at EVN's member enterprises in the fields of power production, transmission, business and distribution; manufacture and trade in electrical equipment; provision of testing, measuring, testing, and electrical testing services.
- Developing a plan to support verification, calibration, testing of means and measurement standards; measuring, testing/experimenting/checking equipment and devices; Measurement mode and measurement methods of EVN's member units and enterprises to promptly meet production and business requirements.
- Coordinating in organizing seminars, conferences, scientific research forums, international training courses on electrical measurement in Vietnam; introducing and sending technical staff to train in electricity measurement abroad.
- Coordinating exchange and cooperation in scientific and technological research, training, and technology transfer on power measurement with metrology agencies and organizations in other countries/economies in the region as well as the world so as to ensure compliance with the law on national safety and security.
- Enhancing exchange, consultation and participation in formulating policies, legal documents, and technical requirements for measurement related to power production and trading. Developing and implementing programs and plans to coordinate in inspection and examination of electrical measurement.
