EVN donates VND 3 billion to support Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai provinces to overcome serious consequences of flash floods and flooding after Typhoon Yagi

On September 12, 2024, at the headquarters of the Fatherland Front Committees of Tuyen Quang Province and Lao Cai Province, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan – President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity and Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, along with EVN’s delegation, visited and donated VND 2 billion to support the people of Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai provinces in overcoming the consequences of severe floods after Typhoon Yagi. Previously, EVN donated VND 1 billion to support Yen Bai province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters (on September 10).

President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity Nguyen Anh Tuan said that all EVN’s employees, party members, union members, etc. are always ready to support and share difficulties with people in areas affected by natural disasters, with the hope that local people will soon overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

Heavy rains and floods have also seriously affected the province's medium and low-voltage power grids. At all donation locations, leaders of the Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces highly appreciated the work of overcoming power grid failures to restore power supply to customers as quickly as possible.

The leader of Vietnam Electricity has directed the National Power Transmission Corporation, the Northern Power Corporation, and Hanoi City Power Corporation to mobilize human resources to overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi and floods to quickly restore power supply to serve production and people's daily lives.
