In recent days, due to the influence of typhoon No. 3 (Yagi), local heavy rains have caused serious flooding and landslides in Yen Bai province. According to the report of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, initial statistics show that natural disasters have left 9 people dead and missing, tens of thousands of houses flooded; and the total area of crops damaged and affected by floods is more than 4,017 hectares. Heavy rain and floods have also seriously affected the medium and low-voltage power grids in the province.
Not only in Yen Bai, typhoon No. 3 and its circulation have caused a lot of damage to the power grids of provinces and cities in the North. Power companies under the Northern Power Corporation have been focusing on troubleshooting the consequences of natural disasters, quickly restoring power to affected customers. At the same time, the Northern Power Corporation has also mobilized shock troops from less affected units to support the recovery in provinces and cities with more severe damage. Particularly in localities in flooded areas, EVN's technical staff and workers are on duty 24/7 and coordinating to support rescue people.
