In compliance with the requirements of health authorities in limiting contact and isolation, EVN has authorized Bac Ninh and Bac Giang Power Companies on behalf of EVN to give this donation to representatives of the local authorities and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces. At the same time, EVN has authorized the Central Power Corporation/Da Nang Power One Member Limited Liability Company to give EVN's donation amount to Da Nang city on behalf of EVN.

According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control, from the end of April 2021, many provinces/cities have experienced the new COVID-19 outbreak (the 4th outbreak). The number of community-acquired cases has increased rapidly, with complicated and unpredictable developments and the risk of a large-scale outbreak. Up to now, some of the provinces most affected by this COVID-19 outbreak are Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Da Nang. Areas with many COVID-19 infections in the community in general are facing many difficulties because they have to focus on the prevention and control of the pandemic, while also mitigating the pandemic’s impacts on the local socio-economic development.

As for EVN, in order to secure the safe and uninterrupted operation of the national power system, EVN has issued a document directing its member units to urgently implement emergency measures to respond to the complicated developments of the new COVID-19 outbreak.
From 10 May 10 2021, the National Load Dispatch Center, the Regional Load Dispatch Centers, EVN Telecommunications & Information Technology Company have implemented concentrated accommodation plans for staff on duty. In provinces/cities with COVID-19 cases in the community, EVN requires operating staff of power plants, 500kV substations, remote control centers there to stay concentratedly at their working places after the shift. The above measures will be maintained until there is a new notice from EVN.
These member units need to prepare conditions to be ready to arrange personnel at backup positions, and at the same time regularly update the local pandemic situation to work out effective and practical implementation measures. The remaining member units must follow the instructions at the documents issued by EVN recently.
The Central Power Corporation on behalf of Vietnam Electricity donated VND500 million to Da Nang city for COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control
EVN's Steering Committee for COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control has requested all of its member units to seriously implement pandemic prevention and control requirements under the direction of the Group and the local authorities, especially medical declaration, social distancing, not hanging out or going to hospitals or other medical examination and treatment facilities when not necessary, strictly following the 5K guidance of the Ministry of Health. Based on the local pandemic situation, the member units shall actively organize work from home for a part of their employees.
With the spirit of proactiveness and promptness in implementing emergency tasks, EVN has been trying its best to fulfill the dual task, while preventing and controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, and ensuring the power supply to serve the country's socio-economic development, especially meeting the requirements of safe and stable electricity supply for the coming National Assembly elections and the People's Council elections at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
