Welcoming Mr. Erik Haugen at EVN Headquarters, Mr. Dinh Quang Tri introduced an overview of energy sector and shared the reality of solar power development in Vietnam.

Mr. Erik Haugen said, Vietnam had a great potential to develop solar power, especially in the southern area endowed with high amount of radiation and high temperature. This is also the area that experiences power shortage in the dry season. If the solar power is successfully developed, the pressure of North-South power transmission will be reduced and the power supply capacity of the system will be increased.
At the meeting, the two sides have exchanged more detail about potential locations for solar power project development, production cost, as well as the advanced technology to build solar power plants.
Mr. Erik Haugen expressed, with experience from deploying solar energy projects around the world, Ecoplexus looks forward to cooperating with EVN to build solar power projects - clean and sustainable renewable energy sources in Vietnam.
