Customer service continues to strongly innovate. Indicators of power supply reliability are all better than planned indicators. EVN has strongly applied information technology (IT), digital transformation, diversified electricity services, and improved customer service quality. To date, 100% of electricity services are provided online at level 4; over 92% of customers pay electricity bills without cash; 99.91% of electricity service requests are received through the National Public Service Portal, Customer Care Center, and Public Administration Center. The rate of transactions signing power purchase and sale contracts by electronic method reached 99.37%.
In January 2022, EVN announced the digital ecosystem - EVNCONNECT, completing the connection with the National Database on Population and the Electronic Invoice System of the General Department of Taxation, 5 months earlier than the requirement of the Prime Minister.
EVN has basically completed the digital transformation tasks set out in the 2021-2022 period. In which, the sector of internal management, construction investment, business, and customer service completed 100%; the generation sector reached 91%; the sector of telecommunications and information technology reached 70%. In 2022, EVN was awarded the "Industry 4.0 Enterprise" award by the Digital Communications Association and received the "Excellent Digital Transformation Enterprise" award for the fourth time in a row.

Despite many difficulties, EVN's construction investment has also achieved impressive achievements. The total value of the construction investment is estimated at VND 89,305 billion.
EVN has started 191 projects, and completed 183 110-500kV power grid projects, in which put into operation many important projects such as Vung Ang - Quang Trach - Doc Soi 500kV power line, Van Phong 1 BOT Thermal Power Plant synchronized power grid projects, Nam Mo - Tuong Duong 220kV power line, etc. Power source projects such as Ialy Hydropower Extension, and Hoa Binh Hydropower Extension continue to be deployed expeditiously. In addition, EVN also implemented investment procedures for O Mon III and IV Thermal Power Projects, Expanded Tri An Hydropower Plant, Bac Ai Storage Hydropower, etc.
In the work of rural power supply to mountainous, islands, and island communes, EVN has put into operation the Kien Binh - Phu Quoc 220kV power line and is implementing investment procedures to supply the national power grid for the Con Dao district. By the end of 2022, the number of communes with electricity nationwide will reach 100% and the number of households using electricity will reach 99.7%, of which the number of rural households with electricity will reach 99.53%.
In the work of environmental protection associated with sustainable development, the whole EVN continues to implement the tasks seriously and drastically. In which, the amount of ash consumed is estimated at 8.5 million tons, equal to 115.2% of the amount of ash generated in the year.
Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) Nguyen Tai Anh reporting on the summary of EVN's production and business situation in 2022
Decisive cost reduction
2022 is a very difficult year for EVN due to the high price of input fuel for power production and the high exchange rate. Right from the beginning of the year, EVN has drastically implemented management measures to reduce costs. Specifically, EVN saves 10% of regular expenses, cuts down from 20-30% of major repair costs, and pays salaries for employees with 80-90% of the average salary in 2020, ... thereby saving cost reduction by more than VND 9,700 billion.
EVN also implemented solutions to optimize cash flow, reaching more than VND 7,900 billion; optimally operate the power system, maximumly promote low-cost power plants, helping to reduce the cost of purchasing electricity by nearly VND 15,845 billion.
The total amount EVN has implemented to reduce costs is about VND 33,445 billion. However, EVN still cannot cover the cost of buying power due to the sudden increase in fuel prices, leading to a huge financial imbalance in 2022. EVN has reported to the Government and the State Capital Management Committee in Hanoi. Enterprises and Ministries allow adjusting power prices in 2022 to reduce difficulties and balance EVN's finances in the coming years.
