According to the report of EVN’s Procurement Management Department, in the period 2014 - 2020, EVN and its member organizations have organized online bidding for 30,360 bidding packages, reaching more than 30% of the total bidding packages of the Group. In particular, only in the first 8 months of 2020, the online bidding rate of EVN and its member organizations has reached over 60% of the total bidding packages.
EVN and its member organizations have actively promoted online bidding through the formulation of annual evaluation criteria; development and completion of tools to support procurement management such as the bidding module in the construction investment software, the software of coal supply management throughout EVN, etc.

EVN’s Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh said that, in order to achieve the target of "competition, fairness, transparency and efficiency" in procurement activities, EVN has been implementing synchronous solutions such as: capacity building for procurement personnel at all levels in EVN through regular professional training and refreshment; development and completion of a system of internal rules, regulations, processes, and specific guidelines for realization of procurement and bidding activities; establishment of bidding tools and specific bidding criteria in the cost-optimized emulation scoring system throughout EVN, etc.
The Vice President required that by 2022, 100% of the bidding packages of EVN and its member organizations shall be procured through online bidding, in order to realize the Group's target in digital transformation.
At the symposium, participants considered and discussed topics such as: impacts of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union (EVFTA Agreement) in the selection of contractors by EVN and its member organizations; review of online bidding in the 2016 - 2020 period and the orientation of this work in the period 2021 – 2025, etc.
