Ho Chi Minh City - Gold Brand Award is an annual award directed by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, in order to honor businesses in the city that have made great efforts and successes in building product brands.

In 2021, EVNHCMC has successfully completed the task of ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development and people's life and prioritizing power supply for hospitals and medical facilities and isolation facilities to fight the pandemic.
In particular, EVNHCMC has actively participated in social security activities, supported the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund, donated equipment for hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients; supported affected people, with a total value of more than VND 42 billion.
EVNHCMC has implemented discounts on electricity bills and electricity tariffs in line with the policy of the Government and Vietnam Electricity with a discount value of VND 581.5 billion in 2021 alone, and nearly VND 2,100 billion in two years 2020 - 2021.
In addition, the brand name of EVNHCMC has been affirmed over the years. The Corporation always ensured sufficient electricity supply to serve the city's socio-economic development, with an average growth rate of 5.09%/year in the period 2016 - 2020. The power loss rate in the period 2016 - 2020 decreased by 0.25%/year on average; reached 3.12% in 2021, the lowest in the country and an advanced level in the ASEAN region. Indicators of power supply reliability have been steadily improved. By the end of 2021, the System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI) is only 40 minutes/year; the System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI) is only 0.55 times/year (the lowest in the country). Labor productivity increased by an average of more than 8% per year in the period 2016 - 2020. In particular, the quality of customer service has been increasingly improved. Up to now, EVNHCMC has delivered 100% of level 4 online services; the online processing rate of electricity services has reached 100%.
EVNHCMC has constantly studied and developed smart grid systems. Specifically, the Corporation has established and put into operation a Remote Control Center equipped with a modern SCADA/DMS system, meeting international standards; 100% of 110/220kV substations are operating in unmanned and remote control mode; 100% of the 22kV grid is remotely monitored and controlled (by Mini SCADA); the outage management software (OMS) has been successfully applied on the single line diagram. Especially, in 2021, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation is ranked 2nd among ASEAN power companies in terms of smart grid index (only after Singapore Power Group).
